Today, the Wright is home to the world’s largest collection of African American art, but it began much more humbly. The original site, founded in 1965, was started in Wright’s own office on West Grand Boulevard. Known then as the International Afro-American Museum, it was already a testament to Black legacy.

Open Source 2021 Festival

Open Source 2021 Festival (formerly City-Wide Open Studios) is Artspace’s annual visual arts showcase, happening on Friday, October 15 through Sunday, October 24th. This expanded virtual and in-person showcase features painters, sculptors, filmmakers, and photographers from New Haven and across the State of Connecticut.

At first, she didn’t believe them, said Mogart, 60, who had been homeless for about 20 years. “People would come around from the different churches and things, but nothing like that,” Mogart said of the repeated visits to check in and update her on progress to find her a permanent place to live. “I never knew anything like that existed. I didn’t believe it.”

Arts4Good Gives Big!

San Bernardino Nonprofits Win Big With Free Marketing & Design Services Worth $20k From Arts4Good

   (December 1, 2015) Moreno Valley, CA – Providing a unique twist on #GivingTuesday, we at Arts4Good were able to donate pro bono services valued at $20k to three San Bernardino nonprofits.   Winners of the services were randomly selected through a Super Golden Ticket drawing as part of the annual online fundraising event Give Big San Bernardino County 2015.   

  The Lighthouse in Big Bear provides multiple services including underwriting musical instruction for youth.   Reach Out of the West End in Upland has a variety of programs that support youth and families.  The Lighthouse and Reach Out were each awarded Arts4Good design and marketing services worth $5,000.  The third award, an Ultra Golden Ticket worth $10,000 was awarded to Priceless Puppy Rescue in Chino Hills.

   Arts4Good joined Give Big San Bernardino County 2015 as a sponsor in August providing pre-campaign training and a webinar in marketing and visual communications for non-profits in six regions of the county.  More than a dozen groups also responded to an offer from Arts4Good to design colorful cause messages to share in their email to donors and on social media.  Examples of these can be found on Pinterest at @arts4_good.
